Marbella – The holiday destination of America's First Lady



When you are looking for golden beaches in Spain, you probably will face up with so many options. It is really hard to make a decision. However, according to the latest news from Spain media that America’s first lady ‘Michelle Obama’ and the younger daughter will spend a 4 days’ holiday during August in Marbella. Therefore, why not trust the first lady’s choice and come to visit Marbella.
At first, the Spanish media reported that the whole family of the president of America will choose Spain as their holiday destination, but later the White House announced that "The First Lady will travel to Spain next week for a private, mother-daughter trip with longtime family friends. President Obama will not be joining this trip." According to the report, during the four days’ holiday, Mrs Obama is also invited by the Spain's King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia to visit them at their summer palace.
So, where is Marbella and what kind of charm does it have to make the first lady of America abandon Islands of Hawaii and beaches along Florida to come to Spain? 

City of Marbella


It is a city which belongs to Autonomous community and the province of Málaga, and located beneath La Concha Mountain and by the Mediterranean Sea. It was a small village with a population circa only 900, but now the number is approximately 120, 000. The traveler Ibn Battuta who has stepped onto almost the entire Islamic world described the town as "a pretty little town in a fertile district."
Nowadays, the city is actually a luxurious and exclusive town for the rich and the celebrities. In the Costa del Sol, Marbella is one of the most popular beaches resorts and golf playgrounds. Once you arrive, you probably will have the immediate cachet of this place. Another reason why this city is so popular among tourists is that the climate here is fairly pleasant with an annual average temperature of about 18ºC.
The old quarter of Marbella is considered the most charming area in Marbella as you can find Arabic style houses which tell the stories of the past and a lot of small galleries, restaurants and bars with good tast.
